Conduct literature searches (including IACUC searches) for faculty and researchers
Work individually with faculty/students/staff to identify, gain access to and efficiently use appropriate information resources

Nancy's background in education helps her plan with faculty for library sessions within their courses. She also develops and delivers some of the library's classes on PubMed and resources for statistics, grants and public health information. Knowledge of linguistics from her master's degree and 12 years' experience in teaching English as a Second Language help her serve Communicative Disorders department faculty and students.

Since joining the HSC Libraries' faculty in 1999, Nancy has focused on public health, regularly attending the American Public Health Association's annual meetings and currently writing a book chapter on health literacy.

A newcomer to email and Web searching in 1998, Nancy welcomes questions from those who are less comfortable with new technologies.
