Below is a map of the greater Gainesville area in Alachua County. The University of Florida's main campus area is bounded by West University Avenue on the north, SW Archer Road on the south, SW 34th Street on the west and SW 13th Street on the east. Alachua County is in North Florida, about an hour and a half southwest of Jacksonville, two hours northeast of Tampa and two hours northwest of Orlando.

The Health Science Center Libraries are in the Communicore Building which is part of the University of Florida Health Science Center/Shands HealthCare complex located on SW Archer Road. The Libraries occupy the first, second and third floors of the Communicore Building. Visitor parking is available for a fee, in the multi-storied parking garages on both the east and west sides of the complex.
