Delivery
The Library provides
a photocopy service for affiliates who, due to time constraints,
are not able to photocopy material that the library owns. The service
is $5.00 per item, up to 20 pages and 20 cents per additional page.
Non-affiliates also have access to this service; however, prepayment
of $7.00 per article must be made. Normal turnaround time for this
service is 24 hours. Affiliated users may complete the online form, Document
Delivery Request Form, that has an eletronic submission delivery format to facilitate the request process. Document
Delivery Request Form Instructions are also available for downloading
or may be obtained at the Reference/Circulation Desk.
Informatics Lab
A self-service computer facility
is located in the Library. A GatorLink account is required to login. All UF Faculty, Studetns, and Staff should have an active Gatorlink account. All other users may request a guest GatorLink account from the service desk staff. Internet access, the Microsoft Office Suite, numerous
databases, and full-text journals and textbooks are available. A
copy card is required for printing at $.13 a page and can be purchased from the copy card vending machine in the library.
Interlibary Loan
The Library makes every attempt to
locate and borrow materials for study, research, or teaching. Only
affiliated users are eligible for this service. There is a charge
of $5.00 per item for University of Florida personnel, and a base
charge $14.00 for non-UF library affiliates. The normal turn around
time for interlibrary loan articles is 1-3 days and 1-2 weeks for
books. Rush requests for patient care or other emergency situations
may be transmitted via fax for a $5.00 surcharge. To facilitate the request process, affiliated users may complete the Library's Document
Delivery Request Form that has an eletronic submission delivery format.
The form may also be obtained from the Reference/Circulation Desk.
Please note that books borrowed from other libraries must be returned
promptly, in accordance to the lending library's required due date;
no renewals are feasible on interlibrary loan materials. Fines of
$1.00 per day (no maximum) will be assessed for overdue interlibrary
loan materials.
