Preview/Index will list (in alphabetic order) the terms that appear in the database along with the number of records in the database that contain that term or phrase. You can use the index to see the number of records your search will retrieve without having to wait for results to actually appear. You can use this to command the computer to search for your term in just one particular field (author, MeSH, publication type.)
